Diversity & Inclusion
Inclusive classrooms, industry-ready leaders — equal opportunity for every aspiring tech professional.
The Viswabharat Skill Institute Centre of Excellence is built on a non-negotiable principle: talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Our admission pathways, scholarship programs and mentor ecosystems are intentionally designed to bring under-represented talent to the tech vanguard.

Inclusive classrooms, industry-ready leaders — talent isn’t a postcode, a background or a gender.
The Viswabharat Skill Institute Centre of Excellence bridges the gap between traditional education and industry needs — and our diversity policy makes sure the door is open on both sides.
We recruit deliberately across gender, geography and socio-economic backgrounds; we mentor with intent; and we select on merit — with room for context, grit and the distance a candidate has already travelled to be in the room.
Building a pipeline of women & non-binary tech leaders
Three pillars come together to move the needle — a clear enrolment target, mentorship from women tech leaders, and dedicated scholarship access.
40% enrolment
An explicit, tracked target for women & non-binary students across every bootcamp cohort. A cohort-level metric.

Rural & Tier-2/3 recruitment
Our outreach network extends into rural India and Tier-2 / Tier-3 cities, so talent from smaller towns finds a direct path into the bootcamp — covering rural outreach, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Scholarships & fee support
Scholarship pools, considered outreach and merit-based selection remove the financial and social barriers that keep capable students out of tech careers — including support for first-generation learners.
Merit-based, bias-free selection
Selection is designed to surface capability, not polish. Interviews and evaluation panels are trained to see the whole person.
Merit-based selection
Admissions decisions rest on clearly defined criteria — aptitude, communication, teamwork, and role-fit — applied consistently to every candidate. A standard SOP, panel training on structured evidence-based scoring, and no preference by school, city, network or background.
- Standard SOP applied to every candidate.
- Panel training on structured, evidence-based scoring.
- No preference by school, city, network or background.
Holistic evaluation
Interviews value passion, grit and problem-solving over resume formatting — and give explicit weight to life challenges and the distance a candidate has already travelled to get here.
- Passion, grit & problem-solving over polish.
- Consideration of life challenges & context.
- Credit for the distance travelled to reach this point.
